This train originates from the Delhi Cantonment railway station and travels to a different city each day. The route of this train is Delhi-Jaipur-Jaisalmer-Jodhpur-Sawai Madhopur-Chittaurgarh-Udaipur-Bharatpur-Agra-Delhi. Every carriage has a mini bar, modern toilets, a cooking area, and a lounge. 3] The Tiger Express

It will take you on a journey through the world famous Kanha National and Bandhavgarh Parks in Madhya Pradesh. This tour of the central region of India will take 6 days and 5 nights on a semi-luxury train. This journey also starts at Delhi and ends at Delhi.

4] The Toy Train

This is the most popular train in India, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway – also known as the “Toy Train”. The Toy Train runs between Darjeeling and New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. This train also has the rare distinction of having the UNESCO World Heritage status. This gives us a pretty good idea of how important and exciting this train and its route is. This isn’t an electric train but the old mini steam locomotive which takes you through mind-boggling landscapes and high mountains of the Himalayas.

5] Kalka-Shimla Hill Railway

As the name suggests, this train runs between Kalka and Shimla. This route is quite famous for the amazing views of the green mountains and its surrounding villages. During this extraordinary journey, you will travel through 102 tunnels, brick arch bridges, and viaducts. This train runs on a vintage steam locomotive which will make this journey a memorable one.

6] Kangra Valley Railway

The Kangra Valley railway travels from Pathankot to Joginder Nagar. It passes through the Himalayan range and will take you through cities like Kangra, Palampur, Jawanwala Shahr etc. The train goes through 2 tunnels and an epic 971 bridges making it one of the unique railway rides in the country. Apart from mountains covered in dense forest, you will also see tea gardens, valleys and the famous Dhauladhar mountains. This will be a journey like no other.

7] Buddhist Circuit

This train takes you on the journey that trails Buddha’s entire life which includes places both in India and Nepal. The train’s name is Maha Parinirvan Express that takes you on an 8-day tour through all these important places. The journey starts from Delhi and goes to Sarnath, the place where Buddha first started to preach. It then takes you to Kushinagar, where he died. The journey also takes you to Varanasi which is the oldest city alive in the world. It will also take you to famous spiritual sites like the River Ganga and Agra Fort. On the last day, you get to visit the magnificent Taj Mahal. So this is a journey that everyone must go on at least once in your life.
