Indian Railways Latest Changed Time Table 2017-2018

A new timetable has been released by the Indian Railways which was implemented from November 1, 2017. New trains have been scheduled as well as other popular trains have been given new time so as to reduce their travel time from source to destination. Indian Railways introduces a new timetable every year during October but this time it was a bit delayed. This time around, more attention is given to reduce the traveling time of the existing trains. Some trains have got a new time while some have been allocated new routes. Some of the changes that have been made in this new timetable has been listed below. 1] New Trains That Have Been Introduced

  • A weekly Antyodaya Express between Darbhanga and Jalandhar
  • A weekly Antyodaya Express between Bilaspur and Ferozpur
  • A weekly Humsafar Express between Jammu Tawi and Sealdah
  • A tri-weekly Humsafar train between Allahabad and Anand Vihar
  • A six days a week Tejas Express between Lucknow and Anand Vihar
  • A six days a week Tejas Express between Chandigarh and New Delhi

2] Changes Made To Many Existing Trains

  • 15107/15108 Mathura-Chhapra express (tri-weekly) has been speeded up and converted into superfast with new number 22531/ 22532 w.e.f. 09.08.2017
  • 14155/14156 Kanpur-Udhampur express (bi-weekly) has been speeded up and extended up to Allahabad with a new number as 24155/24156 w.e.f. 10.06.2017. Now the train has renumbered as 22431/ 22432 w.e.f. 24.10.2017
  • 22811/22812 Bhubaneswar- New Delhi Rajdhani Express (tri-weekly) will be diverted ex. Bhubaneswar o¬n every Saturday (one day) and every sun ex. New Delhi via Sambalpur-Rourkela-Chakradharpur instead of Balasore-Kgp w.e.f. 11.02.2018 with new number 20817/ 20818Bhubaneswar – New Delhi Rajdhani Express (weekly)
  • 54003/54004 Kosikalan-Nizamuddin passenger has been converted into MEMU with new number 64569/64570 w.e.f. 08.10.2017
  • A 22693/22694 Bangalore-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (tri-weekly) has been merged in train number 22691/22692 (4 days) and made 22691/22692 daily
  • 11065/11066 Lokmanya Tilak Term.-Darbhanga Pawan Express (tri-weekly) has been merged in train number 11061/11062 (4 days) and made11061/ 11062 daily

3. Frequency Increased

  • The frequency of 19041/42 BANDRA TERM.-GHAZIPUR CITY Express has been increased from Weekly to Bi-weekly w.e.f. 13.08.2017
  • 12571/12572 Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Humsafar Express from weekly to 4 days a week which will be implemented later
  • 12595/12596 Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Humsafar Express from bi-weekly to 3 days a week which will be implemented later

4. Diverted Trains

  • 12273/12274 Howrah-New Delhi Duronto (bi-weekly) will be diverted via Jasidih-Patna-Mughalsarai instead of Dhanbad-Gaya-Mughalsarai w.e.f. 08.02.18 ex. HOWRAH and w.e.f. 10.02.2017 ex. NEW DELHI
